Freedom

It appears that when we get a Bill of Rights, it needs to include freedom of religion, as apparently certain religious beliefs are unacceptable, and all the checks and balances meant to stop such aggrevious violations do not work. My speech is currently restricted to political opinions, as a condition of what's left of my freedom of movement. I'll let you know if and when the restrictions on my freedom of religion are lifted.

America - land of the free.

Australia - land in desperate need of Paul Bremer to take charge to teach us that "freedom" does not mean "democracy", it means "not subjugated".

P.S. I've replied to the backlog of comments.

God

Ok, fun's over. You people are hopeless. You wouldn't recognize your hand in front of your face. I'm God. What on earth were you expecting? What would Jesus have said or done that I didn't say or do?

Sign of the Beast

For those of you who have been waiting 2000 years for a sign from God - good news, it's happened, although with modern-day incredulity, you probably won't believe it unless the left-wing media says it is true.

But first, let me tell you my story. I was in my mother's womb when Israel reunited Jerusalem in 1967. I was raised as a Christian, and forced to go to Sunday School. I went to live in Fiji when I was about 12, and was no longer forced to go to Sunday School. In addition, I was exposed to lots of Hindus. Having already found out about the tooth fairy, easter bunny and Santa Claus (in that order), I finally added God to the list, and decided I wasn't going to follow someone else's rules, I was going to clear my head and make up my own rules. This was my liberation. Also I had noticed that there were a lot of very nasty Christians, who still insisted that they were Christians, despite the fact that if things were working properly, there should have been some sort of constraints on their bad behaviour lest they end up being sent to Hell for their wickedness. But apparently they are under the impression that simply calling yourself a Christian means you are a shoe-in for Heaven while everyone else goes to Hell. Ok. This nutty religion clearly isn't working as it's meant to.

Instead of spreading Christianity, I tried spreading atheism, challenging Christians to debate all the time. But another thing I was interested in was democracy and freedom of speech. I could see Eastern Europe enslaved by the communists and wished there was a way we could get in and free them. I didn't care if they voted for communism - I just wanted them to be free to do so, and free to debate the merits. I suspected that given a free choice they would join NATO instead of the Warsaw Pact. But Eastern Europe was impenetrable because of the nuclear weapons. I really hated the anti-nuke people in the west, trying to get our side to disarm. Instead of calling our side warmongers, why weren't they speaking out about the state-slavery of Eastern Europe? I was also concerned about my own status as second-class citizen, because I was under 18. I watched my watch when I turned 18, and jumped for joy knowing that I was now free and had full human rights, legally protected. I wanted everyone to have this same freedom.

And I was glued to my TV screen when communism was collapsing. The only demonstrations I have ever been to were protesting outside the Chinese embassy after the Tianamen Square massacre. Someone there gave me a headband which at the time I didn't know what it meant, but later I found out meant "people IN CHARGE" - the Chinese way of saying "democracy". A phrase of such unique beauty that only the Chinese could come up with! But while that bid for freedom failed, in Europe it was successful. And I would finally have a chance to find out what the people REALLY wanted. And it was a mixed bag. The Eastern Europeans were eager to join the West. But the Russians were sadly not so happy about losing their ability to bully others. But just as with the Christians earlier, there remained a question - what makes people want to bully others? I was an atheist, no fear of God, and I didn't want to bully others. What was different between me and others?

But while the Russians were enigmatic, there was one group of people who stood head and shoulders above everyone. The Arab Muslims. What would make people so obsessed about the rights of Palestinians, who weren't being treated very badly at all by the Israelis, instead of being concerned about their own human rights, as they lived under regimes of such brutality that they made Soviet gulags look like a tropical paradise? And also, why was the West so obsessed with the lack of voting rights for black South Africans, when they didn't care about the voting rights of Arabs, or the Soviets before them? Enigmas.

And then finally we had a chance to solve these riddles. Someone had managed to find a pretext to liberate Iraq. Wonderful. Glorious. Best thing to happen since the collapse of the Soviet Union. And then shock and horror. Many of my Australian workmates were opposed to it! This did not happen during Desert Storm where there was something like 90% support for liberating Kuwait. I had always assumed that Australians operated with a "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" approach to liberating people. Basically, who cares what the pretext is - whenever the Anglophones go charging in, the world becomes a better place. But now I was faced with a whopping 50% of Australians who were violating the "unstated Anglophone ideology". Something was seriously wrong - but what? Another enigma.

It was vitally necessary to get to the bottom of these enigmas to find out why people didn't have empathy for the Iraqi people living in a holocaust. The same reason they didn't have empathy for fellow human beings is probably the same reason that some Australians are rapists. The answers were all in Iraq. We needed to be able to analyze Iraqis in an environment of freedom, to find out how many would welcome their freedom, and how many goose-stepped to Saddam's dictates. I breathed a sigh of relief when the Iraqis started looting in Basrah, and other Iraqis were calling to the coalition forces "Ali Baba". They weren't 100% anti-western psychopaths as the left-wing insisted. They were instead capitalists more interested in material wealth than killing infidels, with others looking for help against the criminals from the coalition forces. That was victory. The people weren't complete psychopaths, so we would be able to work with them.

Then we started getting poll results. And opinion was split straight down the middle. Half were happy to be liberated, half felt humiliated. Another enigma. How could anyone not be overjoyed to be freed from a holocaust? The answers were all there in Iraq. But could I solve the puzzle? Some of the information came from the media. There were long queues of people trying to join the new security forces. But also others risking their lives to try to kill coalition forces, for no obvious gain to themselves. Why would two people from the same country be on such opposite poles? The polls showed that only 5% wanted Saddam. But where did Al Sadr and his followers get their anti-American venom from? Weren't they grateful to have been freed?

Then finally the first pro-liberation blog, Healing Iraq, came online, and we were able to directly question a real live Iraqi to try to find out the difference. And it turns out that Zeyad had a furious exchange with his own uncle, the uncle being anti-American, Zeyad being pro-American. Families being split down the middle. What's happening? There was also Alaa, from the Mesopotomian, a pro-American Muslim. It's not religion. It's ideology. Somehow, I have a shared ideology with Zeyad, Alaa, Ali, Omar, Mohammed and Sarmad. What is that shared ideology, that transcends religion? I was still an atheist, after all (as was Zeyad). I spent 2 years probing via the blogs, trying to get reactions from various people, calling for genocide to try to isolate my ideological enemy. Probing and thinking. MANY hours and days spent trying to figure out who *I* was, so that I could then find out why others weren't like me - what was the crucial thing different between our educations? The stark difference between Zeyad and his uncle. What is it?

Anyway, I finally figured out the answer. The culmination of 37 years of searching for answers. I found out what caused 50% of Australians to NATURALLY, of our own FREE WILL, to join with the liberation forces of the US and UK, in a multitude of wars. The answer is that we, together with Zeyad et al, are in a tribe of anti-subjugators, that transcends religion and national borders. Also in a tribe of humanists. We were brought up to care about all people, regardless of race, nationality etc. And when did I finally figure this out? Exactly 3 years to the day after Sept 11. It was actually Sept 11 in both Australia and the US when I finally figured it out. Spooky? Nope. What was spooky was that the message with the final conclusion, the definition of who I am, was message 666. As I wrote it, proud that it was an atheist who had figured out this common ideology, I was stunned. Could this really be happening? I was the beast - the atheist.

You can see this message for yourself, and you can verify it is number 666 if you want. The message was on Alaa's blog. The topic was "War of the Zombies". It was discussing the Beslan tragedy. The post was made on my birthday, 3rd September. Alaa was dumbfounded as the rest of us as to who these people were. They call themselves Muslims, but Alaa knows he has no desire to rape children, and has no idea why others do. But I realised we were missing something fundamental. These rapists at Beslan weren't taught to rape. It was coming naturally to them. It is man's genes. It is our religion/ideology that overrides our genes, and what is missing from their education is to treat all people as equal, regardless of religion. So they have no concept of empathy for strangers. It's not part of the 5 pillars of mainstream Islam. It's not directly part of Christianity either, Christians only get taught that in an indirect manner. If it's not properly taught, then that is why people aren't "getting it". It is this ideology that needs to be exported to the Middle East in order to win the War on Terror.

Anyway, here is the "War of the Zombies" post by Alaa. And if you open the comments, then scroll down to a timestamp of "09.11.04 - 4:54 am", you can see this message, number 666. And if you look at the following message, you can see where I said "Holy cow. That last message was number 666 and it's 11th September 3 years on". I'll reproduce message 666 here. This is who I am:

I am AGAINST racism.
I am AGAINST sexism.
I am AGAINST religious discrimination.
I am AGAINST dogma.
I am AGAINST subjugation.
I RESPECT INDIVIDUALS who VOLUNTARILY donate to COMPLETE STRANGERS (ie different race, different sex, different religion) using their OWN HARD-EARNED MONEY.

I will FIGHT using my BRAIN subjugation of ANY HUMAN.

Shortly after this I decided to become a Sufi Muslim, only changing to Mu'tazilah when I confirmed via Ali that he was Mu'tazilah, not Sufi (they are different). And shortly after that (another story), I no longer "believed" (I had simply decided to choose the theory that God had created the initial universe and didn't interfere with it since then) there was a God - I KNEW there was an entity in another dimension, and everything was explainable via the models I posited in the "Grand Unifying Theory" in my Mu'tazilah document. The last model in particular doesn't even require reference to the supernatural! Oh, and what is the enemy's ideology? They are basically racist Arabs and Muslim religious bigots, who assume (and the left-wing media supports that assumption) that white Christians are as bigotted as they are. While the white Christians assume that the Arabs and Muslims are as humanist as they are. Hence the misunderstanding.

So, was the 666 supernatural? Was it the promised sign from God? I'll let you draw your own conclusions. What I find more interesting is why I was the only one hell-bent on trying to solve this riddle? So many Christians think that atheists are some sort of unconstrained psychopaths (hint - do a search on "secular humanism" and learn better). So many Christians think that atheists=communists (hint - communism is another religion itself, complete with its own holy infallible bible of Truth). What were all the Christians doing? Why weren't humanists everywhere following a similar path to spread freedom that I was? Why is it only me who thought to write to the Australian PM asking for a declaration of war on Iran? And only me who thought to write a thankyou letter to the French President? And after the riddle was solved, why didn't all the Christians quickly convert to Islam to try to protect and love their fellow human beings - as Jesus most certainly would have done? That's a riddle I'll leave to my dear readers to solve.

UPDATE: Two things I should have added to message 666 for clarification:
I am AGAINST nationalism and national bigotry.
I am AGAINST non-humanist behaviour.

UPDATE 2: Please take the time to read the main religion website Mu'tazilah.

UPDATE 3: Haloscan was removed from service, and the comments have all disappeared from the blog. However, you can see a copy of the comments here.

Message to Iraqi Prime Minister

Open Letter to Ibrahim al Jaafari, Prime Minister of Iraq.

Dear Sir,
As you are probably aware, Iraq is the most free country in the entire world. Not only do you have protection of human rights, you don't even have speed limits, so traffic can flow naturally. And no restrictions on pornography either. Congratulations sir, I envy your freedom! I am sad to say that we don't have these same freedoms in Australia. But most important of all, our freedom of speech was recently taken away by one of our governments (Victoria). Our Prime Minister doesn't believe in protecting our freedoms, he likes the idea of governments having absolute power.

Anyway, because of these breaches of human rights, I am requesting that you make a stand for human rights yourself. What I want you to do, is order all Australian troops to leave your country. Simply say that you no longer want to have troops from a fascist regime polluting your beautiful country. After the last of the troops leave, I want you to then issue a formal declaration of war on Australia. Don't worry, with the US forces there, Australia has no chance of defeating you. You are invincible. I then want you to organize a coalition of liberal democracies to come and liberate Australia from the fascist Howard government. I then want you to install a Bill of Rights, saying that everyone has the right to live under a rational, humanist non-subjugating government and that all human rights, including but not limited to freedom of speech, be protected. I then want you to create a new Australian Defence Force that pledges allegiance to the people, via the Bill of Rights, rather than the government.

I want you to know that my taxes helped liberate your country. I therefore expect you to return the favour and liberate mine. I don't know if the majority of Australians are happy to live under a fascist regime that doesn't respect human rights, but I want you to know that even if I'm in a minority - MINORITIES HAVE INALIENABLE RIGHTS TOO. E.g. the majority can't choose to enslave people whose surname begins with an "E". And nor can a majority take away my freedom of speech. I beg you sir, as the leader of the most recent country to join the free world, to protect human rights of EVERY human, not just other Iraqis.

SOS to Betty

Open Letter to Mrs Betty Windsor, Queen of Australia

Dear Betty,
Long time no see! First up, let me apologize for trying to abolish your job at the recent referendum. But honestly, the symbolism was too much to resist. After exactly 100 years of being independent, we would move to being a republic, which is more "normal". One of the talking heads on TV said that it was more important for us to have a Bill of Rights than be a republic. I kept that concept in my mind, but took no action on it, after the politicians reassured me that a Bill of Rights had the effect of limiting rights, not protecting them. However, that whacky theory has now been debunked, the moment these people were charged with exercising their HUMAN RIGHT of freedom of speech.

In short, Australians no longer have protection of human rights. That is why I have resorted to writing to you. I know that you only have a ceremonial role, but that's not what the written constitution says. I know Australia gets by with a "wink wink" as to what our constitution actually says, but it has reached breaking point. We need formal guarantees of our human rights. Our governments have abused their power. And our other institution, the armed forces, have also failed to act. So, I am asking you to exercise your official authority to sack the Governor General, to give him 1 week to implement a Bill of Rights, or be sacked. What I'm looking for in the Bill of Rights is that "everyone has the right to live under a rational, humanist, non-subjugating government and that all human rights, including but not limited to freedom of speech, be protected".

I can't tell you how humiliating it is to live on my knees without my right to freedom of speech. Apparently they've done exactly the same thing in the UK, which presumably means that you're affected to. How on earth do you manage to live with it yourself? Isn't your lack of human rights under the law eating away at your soul? Do you understand the meaning of freedom? Maybe you should consider migrating to USA, where freedom of speech is enshrined in the Bill of Rights. Or are you are happy being a 2nd class world citizen?

Oh, I also have another suggestion for you. To solve the problem with Northern Ireland, you need to ban sect-based parties. Only rational, humanist, non-subjugating parties should be allowed to run for office. And as part of the Northern Ireland constitution, whenever the Republic of Ireland calls for a referendum, the Northern Ireland government must hold a referendum to see if the majority want to be part of the Republic of Ireland instead of the UK. Rule of holes - when you're in a hole - STOP DIGGING! The racist marches should also be banned. If people want to brag about how great the Protestants were for defeating the Catholics (or vice-versa), they can use their freedom of speech to do so in whatever forum they want. There's no need for them to wag their arses about on public property. And people who do boast about how great their sect is should be shouted down as religious bigots, same as neo-Nazis are. And children should be taught that it doesn't matter which country you live in - what matters is whether the rights of the individual are respected.

Leave the Military Alone

A post on "Iraq Now" is very much on-point. The politicians need to leave the military alone to do its job instead of trying to second-guess them. Just shut up and keep out of their way. There was a good reason to override the military in Fallujah and Najaf. It was a chance to get the Iraqi leadership take responsibility for their own nutcase Arab Parallel Universe decisions. And these Iraqi nutcases were of particular interest. They somehow imagined that although the entire Iraqi Army was not able to stand up to the US military, a bunch of goons with headbands would somehow be able to. Rather than a military victory, what was required was a MILITARY EFFECT. It was important politically. These people are potential voters. The message needed to get out as to how brutal the terrorists and Al Sadr were. You don't get any better publicity than the residents of Najaf, and Sistani, telling everyone else what an arsehole Al Sadr is. And you don't get any better publicity than the residents of Fallujah telling everyone that the terrorists have no great alternate form of government - that they're just a bunch of thugs and rapists claiming to be pious.

The military were only interested in defeating the armed enemy. They were incensed by the politicians forcing them to seemingly retreat in the face of the enemy. And they were also miffed by the politicians telling them to not show the US flag. But the politicians did exactly the right thing in both cases. There was NO ADVANTAGE to rubbing the Iraqi people's faces in the dirt by showing them that the US conquered Iraq. The US flag could only cause harm. And if the Iraqi people want to believe that they beat the US in Fallujah, well, the terrorists can have victories in the Arab Parallel Universe for as long as they want - I'm only interested in victory in the real world. And a democratic Iraq, that has voted for moderates, who are thankful for the US liberation, and want the US to remain in Iraq, and an unlimited number of VOLUNTEERS for the new security services, is the ultimate victory. In the bag, in the bag, in the bag.

But far too many westerners seem to have also joined the Arab Parallel Universe, and don't seem to be able to see a complete and utter victory when it's staring them in the face. The terrorists can't win by blowing up random civilians. Random civilians die all the time, from diseases, car accidents etc. It has NO MILITARY EFFECT. Unless the terrorists can find some way of stopping the Iraqi security forces getting stronger, then the Iraqi security forces are going to continue getting stronger and stronger, day by day. The result is inevitable. It's simple maths/logic. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is living in an Orwellian world - where they probably even think that South Vietnam being conquered by communist North Vietnamese tanks was a great advance for humanity.

So please, stop going to pieces and trying to change the strategy, every time a US soldier dies. Their death is not in vain. They know what they are doing. If you want to keep yourself busy, go and burn your bra about the 3000 dying EVERY MONTH on US roads. Changing the speed limit to 10 mph will save almost all of those deaths. Do that for 2 months, and the population saved will be the equivalent of all the civilians who died on 9/11 plus all the soldiers who have died in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Now THERE's something harmless to debate in Congress. Micromanaging the US military is only going to be harmful. Annoying motorists by imposing draconian speed limits is not harmful as far as securing the free world is concerned.

Fatwa Against Osama Bin Laden

As the Caliph of International Mu'tazilah, I hereby issue the following religious ruling:

Osama Bin Laden is a violent non-humanist, and every human on this planet has a religious obligation to use the minimum force (lethal if necessary) required to restrain him so that he will no longer be a threat to humanists. If it is against the law in your country to do this, then you should instead use your inalienable right to freedom of speech to inform the US government the name of country which has laws preventing the restraint of terrorists, so that the laws can be fixed to protect humanists, so that they do not need to live in fear.

Note that Osama Bin Laden is not an evil man. He is a product of religious indoctrination. It is a normal human condition that children can be indoctrinated in a tribal manner, such that those in the "in-group" (Wahabbi Muslims) are on their way to Heaven, while those in the "out-group" are sub-human and on their way to Hell. In short, Osama Bin Laden is a victim of child abuse, as are the many children still being similarly indoctrinated in madrassas across the world. It is the obligation of the entire free world to ensure that this child abuse ends as quickly as possible, not just for the security of the free world, but because the free world should have empathy for ALL children, not just children living in their own countries.

Osama should be handed over to the USA (a mostly Mu'tazilah state) on the following conditions:

1. He is not executed.
2. The US government commits to educate him about Mu'tazilah so that he can learn the enormity of what he has done to fellow human beings. At the moment he has no understanding of what he has done. He doesn't have the concept of empathy for non-Muslims.
3. The US government recognizes that Osama, a victim of child abuse, is still a human being, and his human rights such as freedom from torture will be protected.

The fact that no other Muslim sects have issued a similar fatwa against Osama highlights the fact that they are non-humanist sects themselves, and are thus totally discredited, and should not be trusted by any human. Anyone who calls themselves a "moderate Muslim" and still belongs to any of these sects is lying to themselves and/or to gullible humanists everywhere. They are in fact Islamofascists, just like Osama Bin Laden is, and should no longer be allowed to indoctrinate children with their non-humanist ideology which puts non-Muslim humanists into a sub-human out-group destined for Hell.

Over to you, GG

Open Letter to Michael Jeffery, Governor General of Australia

Dear Sir,
It is with great regret that I inform you that Australia has become a place where the human right of freedom of speech has been abrogated by the government. Unlike America and Iraq, we have no formal protection of our human right to freedom of speech. I have already written to the Australian Prime Minister, but I know he opposes a Bill of Rights - for whatever sick reason, he prefers Australians to be at the mercy of government whim.

Under the power of the constitution, which no-one in Australia actually follows, and instead we are told to just imagine all sorts of things are in there, that aren't, you supposedly have control of the armed forces. I am asking you to use your purported power to take control of the state, and impose a Bill of Rights. I want you to enshrine that we all have the right to live under a rational, humanist non-subjugating government, with all human rights, included but not limited to freedom of speech, to be protected. You can then reinstall the old government.

Every day that goes by without a Bill of Rights, and with this Victorian legislation in force (which doesn't just affect Victorians, it shows that all Australians have no protection of their freedom of speech), is another day that I continue to live on my knees, knowing that I am less free than Americans and Iraqis. I've never been a 2nd-class world citizen before, until I found out about this heinous act by the government. I am writing to you now, before it is too late, and I lose my right to write this letter, and get jailed or whatever other crime against humanity that Australian governments may wish to impose on me.

I implore you sir. I have a right to not live in fear of my fascist government that doesn't believe in the protection of human rights.

UPDATE: I got a response.
